Retreats & Workshops
Every year, parishes and the diocese have several occasions for clergy and lay people to take a break from their bustling lives and attend retreats and workshops. For the clergy, two annual occasions are presented for rejuvenation: the Clergy Conference (usually held the last weekend in September) and the Clergy Lenten Retreat (usually the week-end prior to Palm Sunday). For the laity, the diocesan programme office, various committees, and parishes organise workshops on a variety of subject such as web communications, the work of Church Wardens, Issues of Management and Governance, Developing Leadership, Managing Volunteers, Communications, Aspects of Parish Accounting, Mechanics of Parish Administration, Stewardship Basics, Human Resources Issues.
