Supper Club: West Island
A family-friendly monthly meal, shared with friends old and new; engaging discussions for all ages centered around biblical themes; a chance to engage with church in a way you’ve maybe hoped for…and is different than you might expect! We bless, teach, affirm and engage one another. There is no hierarchy and no script. We use a flat leadership structure and are forming a community of faithful followers whose teachings are inspired by scripture. Supper Club: West Island can’t wait to welcome you, your family, and friends, no matter where you find yourself on your spiritual journey!

FAQ
Is it for any age?
YES! Infants may prefer to stay with their parents (though you can usually find some kind “aunties” who love baby snuggles, if your arms need a break), but we will have activities and stories for toddlers all the way through teens. Adults will be in their own discussion group unless they prefer to join in with the younger group!
What will we eat?
For now, we are keeping it simple with homemade soup (vegan) and fresh bread.
Is the location wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Yes, we have an elevator that moves between floors.
Why this and not ‘regular’ church?
It doesn’t have to be one or the other; but many families have found it hard to commit to weekly Sunday mornings, in a format that is not necessarily easy to bring children (willingly) along. Our hope is to provide a community for believers and seekers that is less formal and less frequent, but just as rich in community and spiritual growth.
When is it happening?
On the 3rd Friday of Every Month.
What Time? Arrivals are welcome after 5pm; supper at 5:30pm, programming will wrap up by 7:30pm.
Upcoming dates: Oct 18, Nov 15, Dec 20, Jan 17, Feb 21, March 21, Apr 18, May 16 & June 20
Orange Shirt Day Resources
/Truth and Reconciliation Resources Available
Orange Shirt Day serves as a reminder of our responsibility as Anglicans to acknowledge past wrongs, work towards reconciliation with Indigenous communities, and engage in meaningful acts of healing. The Anglican Church of Canada has made efforts to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, which address the legacy of residential schools and the Church's role in their operation. Observing this day allows the Church to participate in the broader societal work of justice, healing, and solidarity with Indigenous peoples
“There is an urgent need for reconciliation in this land. Now it is time to take action towards a new relationship. Participate in the building of a new and reconciling relationship through learning, listening, and acting.”
