Diocesan PWRDF Lenten Project / Decolonizing Fundraising

With each new discovery of unmarked graves and stories heard, we have become more aware of what it means to recognize past horrors and work towards reconciliation with Indigenous peoples in this land. We are also learning what it means, for most of us in this diocese to be settlers and implicated in colonialism and ways we continue to perpetuate it. PWRDF has developed a program to help break this cycle: the Indigenous Responsive Grants. The PWRDF Montreal unit chose this as our 2022-2023 Diocesan PWRDF project as a way of doing something important together.
